What is Pixat?
Pixat is a free photo competition app for iPhone and Android. Anyone can create a competition around a theme, such as coffee, street life, a city skyline or a single colour, and invite people to take part. Photographers submit their best shot, the community votes, and the top photos are ranked when voting closes. Some competitions are local to a city, and others are open to everyone. Competition creators can offer prizes, and winners are announced in the app.
How it works
Find a competition.
Browse open competitions by theme or location, or open one a friend shared with you.
Submit your photo.
Take a fresh photo that fits the theme and enter it before the deadline. Entry is always free.
Vote.
When submissions close, the community votes. The system is built for fairness: competition owners' votes carry the most weight, registered users count more than guests, and fake accounts or vote trading lead to disqualification.

When voting ends, every entry is ranked and the winners are announced. If a competition has a prize, its creator awards it.

Questions
- Is Pixat free?
- Yes. Downloading the app and entering competitions are free.
- Who can join?
- Anyone aged 13 or older.
- Can I use AI-generated images?
- Not unless a competition's rules allow it. Submitting AI images against the rules counts as cheating and can get an account suspended.
- Who owns my photos?
- You do. When you upload, you give Pixat permission to feature your photo, for example in promotions; see the Terms.
- How are prizes paid?
- Prizes are set and provided by the competition creator. For cash prizes, winners give their bank details and payment follows verification; see the Competition Rules.
